Kitchen Aid 5 Speed Classic Plus Hand Mixer-Show Me The Love

!±8± Kitchen Aid 5 Speed Classic Plus Hand Mixer-Show Me The Love

I absolutely adore my Kitchen Aid Hand Mixer! It is one of my all time favorite gifts.

One Christmas, my grandma, who is my kitchen mentor, surprised me with my Kitchen Aid 5 Speed Classic Plus Hand Mixer. Up until that point I had been using my handy dandy Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer for everything in my kitchen. Who knew that I had been missing one of the essential kitchen tools! Go Grandma!

It didn't take me long to get spoiled with my new hand mixer. Instead of using the big stand mixer for a batch of cookies, I now use my Classic Hand Mixer. Same thing if I want to whip a small batch of fresh cream or scramble up an omelet casserole.

My handy dandy Kitchen Aid Hand Mixer comes with two beaters which are sturdy enough for most kitchen mixing jobs. The nice thing is that the beaters snap easily into place and with just a quick push button release they are into the sink for a quick and easy clean up.

For about , you can purchase your very own classic Kitchen Aid hand mixer. Most retail stores carry them and you can even find them in a variety of colors. Of course, I love the classic white best! Ever clean and sharp! You will love how very hard this little appliance works. You will soon find, like me, it is your go to gadget while you save your stand mixer for the bigger baking projects.

Here's the best thing to remember, select the right size mixer for the job at hand. Don't use a stand mixer for mixing up a couple dozen cookies. Try out the hand mixer for that. You might be surprised at how much happier you are to have fewer dishes to wash!

Got a big batch of cookies to make or a double batch of brownies, then maybe you would prefer to use your stand mixer. It really does work well for those bigger jobs.

Don't skimp if you are a big batch baker. The hand mixer just won't handle those bigger jobs, it takes the big boy stand mixer. Again, pick the right mixer for the right job!

So if you haven't made the plunge into the hand mixer market, then maybe this is the time to do so. Your kitchen will be more efficient for you and after all, a well stocked kitchen is a happy kitchen.

The open design of the beaters make clean up a cinch and the light weight of the hand held mixer makes it a joy to use. You will definitely wonder why on earth you didn't buy one sooner.

I love my Classic Kitchen Aide Hand Mixer! It has been a perfect addition to my kitchen. Small baking chores are a piece of cake with this hand held mixer. Check it out and I know you will agree.

Carving Knives

!±8± Carving Knives

"A carving knife is a large knife (between 20 cm and 38 cm (8 and 15 inches)) that is used to slice thin cuts of meat, including poultry, roasts, hams, and other large cooked meats." Wikipedia.

There are two types of carving knives, those for meat and those for woodcarving, here we talk about the food aspect.

Meat carving knives are typically made from stainless steel. Knives made from carbon steel, which are often used as kitchen knives tend to stain, have a propensity to emanate a metallic taste when used with acidic foods.

Carbon steel is the least expensive and easiest to sharpen and retains the sharpened edge well and is the most commonly used for carving knives.

Stainless steel contains only a small amount of carbon, are highly resistant to corrosion and more expensive than carbon steel knives. Stainless steel with a high carbon content do not stain or rust and retains a sharper edge for a longer time.

There are stories and legends about carving knives as far back as the 1700's when they tell of murder and mayhem when a woman murdered her mother with a carving knife! Hopefully, the only thing they are used for these days is carving food. The varieties of styles are for a variety of uses. One version of a carving knife is an electric knife. This has two blades that electrically move in opposite directions, fast. They can be used for anything and are reported to work very well.

A carving knife, or slicing knife is typically between eight to fifteen inches long. There are various shapes for various cutting methods. A roast beef carving knife is rounded at the tip for easier lifting of the slices of meat. Other types of knives have pointed tips for fish and poultry. The design and quality can be shown in the way it is made. If the blade extends to the butt end of the handle, then this is a well-made carving knife.

Carving knives have many uses other than just carving the turkey at Christmas. Also known as slicing knives they range from meat and fish slicers to utility knives. Knife connoisseurs will recommend that you buy knives individually rather than in sets. You can typically get a better quality knife if you buy it separately. The knives you will most likely use on a regular basis are:

Carving knife
Paring knife
Chef's knife

Bread or serrated edge knife

The heavier the knife, the less work has to go into the use. Some knives will need sharpening more often than others, the serrated edged knives should be sharpened by a professional as they require specific equipment in some cases.

Carving knives in general are all round useful knives and can be used for just about any task in the kitchen. Because of its strength and sharpness, it is good for carving pumpkins, fruit, cheese and vegetables.

So, besides having the name carving knife, overall it is good for almost all cutting purposes. However, a good chef will probably scream at that statement.

If you are interested in knives in general, you should pay a visit to our site. We have a wealth of information on any kind of knife you can think of.

Why a bread box?

A window of bread is hard enough to keep errors away from your bread. Other containers such as plastic worms and mice is difficult to keep your bread from. You can easily chew through the bag and the bike your bread. Most of the bread-box are made of wood with a metal below. This metal can to keep the humidity in the box and allow the bread to be stored longer. Bread box is made of wood and there is much more natural and concern for the environment. Remember, a bread box that has received strong coverage. This prevents the air in the box of stale bread and go faster. If possible, choose a widerbox.
